Stony Brook ACE is an early college program that excellent students can apply for in high school. Students can take courses on college level and gain college credit for that before graduation. In that way, ACE provides students with the academic challenges of a college-level curriculum within the high school setting. This has the advantage that students could finish their four years degree in a shorter amount of time. 

The courses are taught by teachers of The Houde Academy directly and students will have the chance to familiarize themselves with the demands of the university coursework, and introduce themselves to the learning environment and resources of a major university before they enter full time.
